John Roberts - Resident Engineer
John Roberts is the Resident Engineer for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (LADWP) Owens Lake Dust Mitigation Program Phase 9/10. Acting as the on-site Owners Representative, Mr. Roberts provides project leadership regarding procedures, processes, and daily Construction Management activities. Leading a team of 12 construction professionals, he interprets project drawings and specifications, and ensures that activities, procedures and processes remain in compliance with regulatory and owner specifications. He provides on-site Human Resources representation, and enforces corporate policies and procedures.
Mr. Roberts is a seasoned Resident Engineer and Project Manager with over 30 years of experience providing construction management, project/program management and engineering services throughout the Western United States. He has overseen the development, construction and commissioning of various project types, including commercial facilities, infrastructure, utilities, industrial plants, light rail, site development, transportation, and energy. Mr. Roberts’ core strengths include construction management of multi-site projects, claims negotiation, stakeholder engagement and management, relationship development, site development, staff management, project oversight, budget and cost control and constructability review. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University, and is OSHA-30 and CPR certified.
